Dr Dawud Bone

The Trustees of BIST are extremely delighted to announce the appointment of our new Head teacher

Dr Dawud Bone. Dr Bone started his career as a chartered engineer, but he was attracted to the teaching profession which made him not only obtain the PGCE, but also a Doctorate in Education (EdD). He has worked in a number of schools and colleges in different capacities including headship. The vast experience he has (which included Islamic schools and non-Islamic schools) is coupled with a strong passion for education which not only focuses on high academic achievements of each pupil, but also on bringing up citizens who are examples of good behaviour and manners which are based on Islamic ethos.

Find out about the fun filled things we did for World Book Week...

Alhamduillah our Charity dinner on Sunday 11th March was a huge success and we raised £45K towards the renovation costs of the new building in St Phillips. It was a truly amazing night where the hard work and duas of all the organisers involved paid off. During the evening the year 10 secondary girls Hanaa Ahmed & Nafeesa Ali hosted the event and did us proud. We also had two very touching accounts by former ex-AAB students, Liala Akhtar and Fatuma Jamal who graduated in 2011 with excellent GCSE results. They spoke passionately about their time at AAB and were met with resounding applause. They spoke about how much they missed the school and the spiritual guidance they gained whilst at AAB. They most certainly are a credit to the school and may Allah swt continue to guide them on the straight path. Read more...

 BREAKING NEWS!

The trustees of BIST have identified a potential site for the expansion of the school and which is in close proximity to Andalusia Academy. Insha'Allah we intend to open Year 7 boys in September 2012. We are inviting prospective parents to fill in an application form for entry into this year group. Places will be allocated after an interview and entrance exam. The school will open with just Yr 7 boys and then grow incrementally, insha'Allah. We have now only a few places left so if you would like further details or would like to obtain an application form, please contact the school office or download an application form online.

Also, new for September 2012 will be a two form entry for reception class. Alhamduillah we have been overwhelmed with applications this year and so to address this we have decided to open another reception class to help meet public demand. The primary school will stay in the St Matthias site and the deadline for applications has now closed. Insha'Allah we intend to inform all parents entering September 2012 whether their child has a place w/c 26th March.
