 Annual Charity Dinner & Fundraising Event

Standing Order Initiative

This initiative is important for the survival of the school during the initial 4 years of operations. This is because the number of pupils during this period is less than the capacity of the school due to the low numbers the school had during its first year of operation.

We need to raise £10,000 each month by standing orders. This is easily achieved if we have few hundred persons contributing a small amount each month from £50 down to £10 depending on the financial ability.  A simple example is that 100 persons contributing £50/ month; this amounts to £5000 easily.

At the moment we only have less than £3000! Basically we are £7000 under target! So please, start creating your standing order with Andalusia Academy to ensure the long term sustainability of our school.

It's quick and easy to create a standing order with us. You can create a standing order via any of the following methods:

• Just go to the Standing Order Page and fill in your details. It only takes 5 minutes of your time but you can create a long term sustainability for Andalusia Academy!
• You can choose to Download the Standing Order Form. The form can then be posted to the Treasurer of BIST, Andalusia Academy, Halston Drive, Bristol BS2 9JE.

Zakah Money

If you wish to donate your Zakat to the Andalusia Academy Islamic school, please click on the 'Make A Donation' button below. Paying Zakat for educational purposes is permitted. This is based on a Fatwa given by Dr Suhaib Hasan. Click here to read the full ruling from Dr Suhaib Hasan.

 In summary, the Fatwa given by Dr Suhaib Hasan allows Zakat money to be used for:

    * Establishing and running institutions for teaching Islamic knowledge
    * Constructing Mosques especially in non-Muslim countries
    * Establishing Islamic centres
    * Publishing Islamic books, papers and magazines.
    * Helping institutions of Fatwa and Qada

Dr Suhaib Hasan is one of the most recognised Islamic scholars of today. He has involvement in many important Islamic projects including Islam Channel and Muslim Aid. He has authored numerous books and articles and has lectured on a diverse range of Islamic topics. His rulings are well recognised throughout the UK and overseas.

Waqaf

We need sponsorship in order to provide the classroom for Year 3 & 4 for the 2008/2009 term. The new building will cost around £25,000.

We have divided the building into 200 equal sections. Each section will cost £125.

You can choose to sponsor/wakaf either 1 or more of the sections.

To do this, simply send our donation to the Treasurer of BIST, Andalusia Academy, Halston Drive, Bristol BS2 9JE.

Don't forget to quote 'Wakaf for Year 3 & 4' and the number of sections you wish to sponsor.

GAYE Scheme
